About a week ago, Mother left to head home. My poor boys, and myself, miss her being around all day. It was such a fun month. We always get out and do more than we usually do when we are not together. We have lunch out more, shop more, and just get out more. It is a lot more difficult with two boys still. The Boy continued to push the limits while she was here and even more after Mother left. The Baby just continues to grow like a weed.
The Baby is sitting on his own now and moving backwards. Today he became angry with The Boy because he had moved away from The Baby and was playing somewhere else. The Baby was mad because he couldn't get to him. When I walked over to see what the problem was, The Baby was kicking his feet so fast and hard trying to get to The Boy. It was rather funny. He does hop onto his hands and knees and rocks. I am just waiting for the day, any day now, that he just takes off. I have a feeling he is going to be fast.
The Boy is also growing. Last night, he was moved to his BIG bed. I mean, it is HUGE!!!! I think it is bigger than mine! He is really excited about it. That last few months have been a battle with him going to bed. He has started having night terrors and would come into our room crying in the middle of the night. I would pull him in and we would all sleep soundly. Then, he started saying he couldn't go to be in his bed, he had to go to bed in mommy and daddy's bed. Well, this was not about to become a habit. This led to tantrums almost every night and hearing that he was scared of his room because there was "es skank" in his room. We still have NO idea what he is talking about. He wouldn't show us what it was. So, I pulled out room freshener to spray the "es skank" out. Now, he seems pretty excited about his bed "just like mommy and daddy's." We shall see how long this last.
So, now that the Mother has left, we are starting to get back in the swing of things. We have had two play dates with the boys friends...not to mention some of my great friends. It was nice to catch up with them. Hopefully this week, we will get back into his ABC recognition lessons. He was really enjoying them and is excited to start back again. Anyways, just wanted to let you all know what has been going on with us. We are still hanging in there even though Mother has gone home...somehow... :)
