Easter Egg Dying

Today, we are getting things ready for Easter. We made Easter cookies yesterday and dyed our eggs today, well, The Boy dyed the eggs. We all had to watch because he wanted to do it alone. He did a good job being careful and not getting dye everywhere. The Baby desperately wanted to join in but I would have been a nervous wreck!!! So, he got to watch.

Easter Party

Today was The Boy's Easter Party at school.  What fun was had.  All the kids had a delicious snack of mini Easter basket cupcakes, cheese, and juice boxes.  The Easter Bunny came to their playground while they ate and after they went out to hunt for the eggs with their names on them.  Once everyone found their eggs, they came in to make Easter Bunnies.  The Boy had such a great time and is always excited to show me his friends and all he has done in his classroom.  I am so lucky and grateful I am able to participate in his school.  I know how happy I was to have my parents help and I am glad The Boy is enjoying my being apart of his parties and field trips.  I think The Boys favorite part about the party was coming home to eat some of the goodies found in his eggs.  AND....he even gave some to The Baby!!!!

Young's Dairy Farm

The other day we went to a local dairy farm with some friends.  The boys had a wonderful time feeding the goats and looking at the cows and chickens.  One cow was hanging out by a gate and the boys were not to sure about him.  It was rather funny how hesitant they were and carefully walked around the cow.  After we checked out the animals, we enjoyed a fun lunch then headed over to play Putt-Putt.  The Boy and his friend had sooooo much fun.  They did a great job taking turns and cheering one another on.  The babies sat back and watched...and cheered...and ate.  To top off the day, we headed back to the restaurant for ice cream!!! It was a little cooler out than we had hoped, but it was still a great day!!!

Husbands Birthday

Today we are celebrating the Husbands birthday. He was able to get the day off and sleep then we hit up the bowling lane. The boys had a wonderful time!!! The Boy beat all of us both games. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to go it again. This was the first time for the Baby go bowl. He would squat while holding the ball, say ready...go, then the ball would slowly roll down the lane. I think .5 was his best speed!!

Slip n slide

Today was the first day of the season we played in the water. The Boy had a blast sliding down his slip n slide. The Baby wasn't so sure. He had fun running around in bare feet though, which does not happen very often since he always scratches them. Hopefully, he will realize the fun that is had on a slip n slide soon. The Boy wants someone to slide with!!!

Bowling Field Trip

Today, I went with The Boy and his class to bowl. What fun that was!!! Watching s bunch of 3 and 4 year olds bowl was awesome. Some had good speed, about 2 or 3 mph, while others were less than 1. It was great!!! The Boy had a blast bowling mid 60. Not his best but pretty good for having to push the ball all by himself.

Back At It

I have not been very good at school time with The Boy. I don't feel too bad since he goes to school two times a week and learns a lot!!! I'm always surprised at the things he tells me, shows me, etc. that he has learned at school. He is growing sooo fast. Today we spent The Baby's rest time doing school. He has so much fun. He loves to cut! It made me nervous when he first insisted on using scissors about a year or so ago, but he is a master. Today, he cut out and put together a bat and a rabbit. I need to do this with him more. He really enjoys it.
